TEACHING FACILITIES

DRIVING RANGE
The driving range is located in the middle of the golf course surrounded by holes #9 and #10.  With 12 hitting bays off mats, and the use of limited flight range balls, 99% of golfers can hit their driver at a maximum of 225 yards to the back fence.

SHORT GAME RANGE
The short game range is located adjacent to hole #3 extending to about 80 yards in total distance.  In this area you will find a raised green, 2 bunkers and 2 other tee boxes to pitch from.  The area offers a great place to hit almost every short shot from low bump and runs, to high flop shots.

CHIPPING GREEN
The chipping green is located adjacent to hole #5 tee box.  Mostly used for shorter chip and pitch shots with areas mown short for tight pitch shots and areas with longer rough for those more difficult lies.  A great place to practice putting too.

PUTTING GREENS
Our biggest putting green is located near the parking lot and directly in front of the clubhouse entrance.  Very undulating surface gives a great taste of what's to come prior to going to play the golf course.  Another smaller green used for warm up prior to play is located near the first tee box.  A great place to get those last minute chips and putts prior to play.

INDOOR STUDIO AT ROYAL COLWOOD
Royal Colwood has a 1 bay hitting area, available for right and left handed players that utilizes TrackMan 4 technology.  The studio is equipped with an over head projector creating a high quality virtual golf experience that allows you to practice or play rounds of golf.  TrackMan is currently providing over 50 courses with more coming.  The studio is open to all members and can be booked through the golf shop 7 days a week, during the golf shop hours of operation.  Cost to the member is $25 an hour.
